New Store Project Manager

Job Description Summary

Come work for a renowned, privately owned, multi-state firm based in Denver, CO with 15 upscale shopping plaza locations in the US. This is a dynamic, growing business with plans to open 12 more locations within the next year and 36 locations within the next 3 years. As a New Store Project Manager, you will have a critical role in the growth and success of this thriving company.

Qualifications

· Relevant Work Experience. Minimum of 5 years in project management, property management, or real estate. Prior experience in selecting, planning, and opening new retail store locations would be ideal. Prior experience in delivering projects on time and under budget is also ideal. A management mindset is required, but management experience is not required.

· Education Level: A college degree is preferred but not required. A major in business or real estate would be ideal.

· Professional license or certification: A professional license or certification in project management (PMP) or real estate would be ideal but is not required.

· Must be willing to travel 100% of the time within the U.S. as our new stores will be located nationwide. The first city on our agenda is Dallas. No international travel will be required.

· Must be a self-starter and a productive independent worker while contributing to a team environment. Must be highly assertive to complete projects quickly and under budget.

· Must have impeccable organizational skills and excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.

· Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor to represent the company in property management meetings.

· Must work well in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

· Must have reasonable analytical skills and basic math skills.

· Must have a dedication to accuracy and accountability.

· Ability to work in an office environment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

· Attending paid training with our Director of Development and New Store Expansion (flight and hotel are paid for by the company if needed).

· Participating in the selection of each new store by reviewing many aspects of several potential locations and discussing with management.

· Meeting with property management companies and noting the advantages and deficiencies of each potential location.

· Planning and implementing all aspects of opening the new store including buildouts, maintenance, and permitting.

· Purchasing furniture and supplies to make the new store operational.

· Ensuring the store is clean and presentable.

· Being the initial in-person contact for the company with local permitters, property management companies, and local government.

· Keeping in constant contact with the management team and providing progress updates.

· Creating reports for management as needed.

· Other miscellaneous ad hoc requests as provided by management.

· Maintaining a professional appearance.

· Hours are generally 5 days per week from 9am to 6pm. However, it is occasionally required to work outside of these hours.

Benefits

· Paid vacation time, paid sick days.

Compensation

· Starting salary of $50,000.

· $5,000 bonus for each new store opened which will take approximately 2 months each.

· Flights and car paid by the company while on location. Rent/hotel paid by the company while on location. Cell phone paid by the company.

· Discretionary annual bonus.
