About Family Friendly New Mexico

Family Friendly New Mexico (FFNM) is a statewide nonprofit that helps employers adopt family-friendly workplace policies that strengthen businesses, employees, and communities. Through our Family Friendly Business Award®, employer education, partnerships, and policy leadership, we work to make New Mexico one of the best places to work and raise a family.

We're seeking a highly organized, proactive Operations & Events Coordinator who enjoys bringing structure to fast-moving projects, coordinating multiple priorities, and helping a mission-driven organization thrive.

Position Summary

The Operations & Events Coordinator is the organizational hub of Family Friendly New Mexico. This role coordinates operations, communications, events, and project management to ensure the organization runs efficiently and delivers high-quality programs statewide. The position requires significant initiative, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities while working closely with the Board Chair, board members, and contractors.

Primary Responsibilities

Communications & Marketing

Manage Social Media Accounts
Draft, design, and distribute email newsletters using Constant Contact
Create graphics and marketing materials
Assist with blog content development and publishing
Help maintain FFNM's brand consistency across communications
Coordinate media assets, photos, and promotional materials

Events

Coordinate logistics for FFNM events including:

Family Friendly Business Awards Luncheon
Workshops
Networking events
Webinars
Community presentations

Family Friendly Business Awards Program

Process award applications
Maintain Awards Program database and spreadsheets
Prepare weekly application status reports
Assist with award cycle planning and improvements

Grants & Fund Development

Research grant opportunities
Assist with grant proposal preparation
Track grants and reporting deadlines
Maintain the Master Funds spreadsheet
Support sponsorship fulfillment and documentation
Maintain sponsorship tracking systems

Administration & Operations

Manage shared organizational inboxes
Maintain organizational administravtive dutiesCoordinate calendars and scheduling
Maintain organizational records and templates

Project Management

Maintain project management systems
Help improve organizational systems and workflows
Ensure projects continue moving forward without requiring repeated reminders

Contractor Coordination

Serve as the primary coordination point for FFNM contractors, including:

Website developer
Graphic designer
Bookkeeper
Event vendors
Other consultants

This role coordinates communication, timelines, materials, and follow-up, but does not supervise contractors.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
