Full Job Description

Edco Supply Corporation is a leading manufacturer and distributor of flexible packaging products. Our specialty is military specification protective packaging. We also manufacture static control packaging for the electronics industry. Located in Brooklyn for the past 70 years Edco is looking for an individual with at least 3 years of quality assurance experience.

Position Summary The Quality & Manufacturing Coordinator is responsible for managing all quality-related activities within the facility while actively supporting daily manufacturing operations. This position combines hands on inspection, documentation control, compliance and production oversight.

The selected candidate will be the primary quality contact within the organization and will work closely with the Plant Manager and production team to ensure operational efficiency and product compliance.

Primary Responsibilities

Quality Management & Compliance

Perform in process and final product inspections
Verify compliance with customer specifications and internal standards
Prepare and review Certificates of Conformance (COC) and shipment documentation
Maintain lot traceability and production records
Control and document non conforming material
Coordinate corrective actions and monitor implementation
Maintain calibration logs and inspection records
Organize and maintain physical and digital quality documentation
Support customer documentation and audit requirements
Identify quality risks and recommend process improvements

Manufacturing & Production Coordination

Support daily production scheduling with the Plant Manager
Temporarily oversee production floor activities when required
Verify manufacturing orders, work instructions, and job travelers for accuracy
Ensure operators follow documented procedures and specifications
Confirm proper material usage and traceability compliance
Monitor production output versus schedule
Assist in workflow coordination between departments
Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
Help standardize repeat job setups and documentation
Communicate quality or production concerns in real time

This role requires regular presence on the production floor and is not strictly office-based.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in:

Industrial Engineering
Manufacturing Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Business Administration (Operations focus)
Quality Management
Or related field

Strong organizational and analytical skills

High attention to detail

Ability to work independently and take ownership

Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal) – Required
