Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, preparing ingredients for meal service, and supporting the culinary team with food handling and basic food preparation. Your dedication ensures that safety standards are upheld while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop foundational skills in food service, culinary techniques, and kitchen operations within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment thoroughly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and standards
Follow food safety standards in handling, storage, and sanitation practices to ensure a safe kitchen environment
Support the cooking team by organizing ingredients and supplies for meal service
Maintain cleanliness of workstations and equipment throughout shifts
Adhere to safety protocols during all food handling and preparation activities

Requirements

Kitchen or restaurant experience demonstrating familiarity with food preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper handling procedures
Strong knife skills
Ability to follow recipes accurately and work efficiently under pressure
Experience with meal preparation, and catering is a plus
Excellent understanding of safety standards in production environments and food industry regulations

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
