Full Job Description

Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech), Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC)

Pay: $34- $43/ Hr
Location: Buford, GA
Schedule: Full-Time | 10-hour shifts | No weekends

About us:

We’re Total Joint Specialists, and we specialize in total hip and knee joint replacements. We’re a small but tight-knit team that runs like clockwork. If you’re experienced, quick on your feet, and want to work in a dynamic environment that’s all about efficiency and teamwork, we’d love to have you.

What we’re looking for:

We need an energetic, skilled Surgical Technologist who knows their way around total joint replacements and is ready to jump into action. If you’ve got experience in hip and knee replacements and can move fast while staying sharp, you’ll fit right in. We value people who know their stuff, stay five steps ahead in the O.R., and are 100% reliable when it counts most. Experience in total joint replacement is preferred. Knowledge of Zimmer implants and instruments is a plus.

Your day-to-day:

Scrub in for total hip and knee replacement surgeries
Set up and maintain a sterile field with precision, following strict sterile technique and infection control standards
Be the surgeon’s right-hand during the procedure… anticipate what they need and make it happen
Manage instruments and surgical tools with high attention to detail
Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts (we’re sticklers about this)
Support proper specimen collection when required
Assist in room turnover and patient transfers (when not scrubbed in)
Clean, stock, prepare for the next day’s cases

What you’ll need:

1-2 years O.R. experience and/or Surgical Technologist certification
Thorough knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
Ability to keep pace without sacrificing quality
Physically able to stand, lift trays (up to 25 lbs), and assist with patient transfers
Clear communication skills and the ability to work with a fast-moving team
Flexibility: you may be required to float to other centers as needed

Bonus points for:

Experience with total hip and knee replacements (this is HUGE!)
Familiarity with Zimmer instrument/implant systems
Experience with surgeons who expect excellence
