Full Job Description

Siren is seeking polished, knowledgeable bartenders to join the opening team at Smitty & Pearl’s, a new multi-concept hospitality property in downtown High Point beside Truist Point.

This is not a beer-and-shot position. Siren is an upscale lounge centered on thoughtful hospitality, classic cocktails, premium spirits, wine knowledge and refined beverage service.

We have already hired many talented members of our opening team, and the remaining bartender positions are filling quickly. If you take pride in your craft and understand that exceptional bartending requires both technical knowledge and genuine hospitality, we would like to meet you.

ABOUT SIREN

Siren is an elevated lounge featuring craft cocktails, premium spirits, wine and a sophisticated guest experience. Our bartenders will help establish the culture, standards and personality of the beverage program from the beginning.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Strong working knowledge of classic cocktails, recipes and proper techniques
Experience batching cocktails accurately and consistently
Knowledge of premium spirits, wine and elevated beverage service
Proper wine presentation, opening, pouring and service techniques
Understanding of bar organization, mise en place and service readiness
Creativity and an interest in contributing thoughtful beverage ideas
A collaborative approach to recipe development, training and team execution
Confidence engaging with guests and making informed recommendations
Ability to balance precision, speed and hospitality during service
Professional appearance, communication and composure

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare classic and house cocktails according to established recipes and specifications
Execute cocktail batches using accurate measurements, labeling and storage procedures
Provide knowledgeable wine, spirit and cocktail recommendations
Deliver polished wine and beverage service
Maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked bar
Prepare garnishes, syrups, infusions and other beverage components
Follow all alcohol-service, sanitation and responsible-service requirements
Monitor product quality, portions, inventory and waste
Collaborate with leadership and fellow bartenders on service standards and beverage development
Create a welcoming, memorable experience for every guest

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous bartending experience in an upscale lounge, fine-dining restaurant, hotel, resort or craft-cocktail bar strongly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of classic cocktails required
Wine-service experience strongly preferred
Cocktail-batching experience preferred
Familiarity with premium spirits and contemporary cocktail techniques
Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
Commitment to professionalism, teamwork and responsible alcohol service

BarSmarts, WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, Cicerone, ServSafe Alcohol, TIPS or similar beverage certifications are not required, but they are considered a plus.
