Full Job Description

Amped Electric, Inc. is a growing Alaska-based electrical contractor serving residential, commercial, industrial, and government clients across the state. We are seeking a dependable Office Administrator to support day-to-day office operations and serve as a primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal staff.

Who This Role Is For

This position is well suited for someone who is organized, proactive, and reliable, and who takes pride in maintaining smooth operations. We are looking for a strong communicator who is comfortable using common office software, willing to learn new systems and processes, and able to adapt as needs evolve. Many of the procedural or system-specific aspects of the role can be taught; attention to detail, professionalism, sound judgment, and a sense of ownership over routine office responsibilities are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide general office administration and clerical support, including document management and correspondence
Serve as an office point of contact for customers, vendors, and employees
Serve as a professional first point of contact for incoming calls and inquiries
Assist with administrative aspects of job setup, maintenance, and closeout, as needed
Perform accurate data entry and maintain job and office records
Support invoicing, bill pay, and payroll
Maintain and track insurance certificates, licenses, bonds, and compliance documentation
Assist with office coordination and internal process support as needed
Other duties as may be assigned

Required Qualifications

Prior experience in an administrative, office, or customer-facing support role, or equivalent transferable experience
Strong organizational skills with emphasis on accuracy, follow-through, and reliability
Professional communication and phone skills
Comfort working in a busy, construction or project-based office environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, and a willingness to learn new processes and systems

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in construction, trades, or project-based businesses
Experience with job records, documentation, or compliance tracking
Familiarity with QuickBooks Online
