Lewis Representation LLC is a fast-growing accounting firm based out of Gales Ferry, Connecticut. Our team is comprised of seven dedicated and hardworking individuals committed to producing ideal outcomes for our clients, whose businesses range in industry from construction to education to brick-and-mortar shopfronts.

Managing Director Madeleine Lewis strives to cultivate an accounting environment founded upon integrity and duty to the industry’s principles. Lewis Representation LLC has been operating in southeastern Connecticut for more than thirty-five years and has supported various clients through growth processes since its genesis; consequently, it has earned a prestigious reputation within the area’s professional community.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and focused bookkeeper and executive administrator to join our team as many of our clients’ businesses enter transition and growth periods. The successful applicant can expect to perform a variety of functions as a part of their day-to-day responsibilities, including:

Entering transaction data and completing bank reconciliations
Processing clients’ payroll
Acting as the primary point of contact for businessowners and their team members; answering phone calls and emails from clients
Preparing and presenting budgets to internal and external management teams
Cross-training for various responsibilities with other team members to provide multiple-person coverage over important tasks; preparing training materials for other staff members for new role responsibilities as and when they arise
Training in and operating the following key software touchstones: QuickBooks Online; Toast; MarginEdge; Fathom; Paychex

The successful applicant will also perform the following administrative tasks on a regular basis:

Answering phone calls and emails from current, past and potential clients
Managing Lewis Representation LLC’s tech stack, which includes but is not limited to Microsoft Office, Outlook, Office@Hand, and SmartVault
Monitoring the General Partner’s email inboxes
Taking letters and documents to the Post Office; tracking and logging all mail transactions
Ordering office supplies, including paper and other stationery, drinks, and snacks
Establishing and maintaining the appearance and organization of the physical office space

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:

2+ years of paid accounting experience
2+ years of experience with QuickBooks Online; QuickBooks Certification required
2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills; professional but approachable style
Committed to accurate recording and reporting practices
Organized
Able to triage and manage time effectively

The following attributes are preferred but not necessary:

Experience working in hospitality
Experience with any of the other listed software touchstones

Wage and Benefits

This is a full-time, salaried position, to be paid at $52,000 per annum. Additionally, the successful applicant will receive the following benefits:

Health insurance, to be paid on a 60%/40% basis by the firm and the applicant
3% Simple IRA match
Eight federal holidays
Two weeks of PTO
Gym membership
Travel reimbursement pertaining to travel within company hours
