Full Job Description

Job Summary
Shamrock Labels is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting team, with a primary focus on cash applications. This position is responsible for accurately processing customer payments and applying cash receipts to customer accounts in a timely manner while supporting overall departmental efficiency.

Responsibilities

Process and apply daily customer payments, including checks, wire transfers, ACH payments, and credit card transactions
Research and resolve payment discrepancies and account issues
Prepare reports related to cash application activities
Process adjustments related to cash postings
Support administrative and clerical functions to ensure department efficiency
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
3–5 years of accounts receivable or cash application experience preferred
General knowledge of banking transactions and payment processing
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills
Self-motivated with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with Sage X3 is a plus
