Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support within our Infusion center settings. This position involves working closely with patients, assisting healthcare providers, and ensuring that the clinic operates smoothly.

Duties

Assist in patient intake, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs.
Provide exceptional patient service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly.
Support healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for billing purposes and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Assist with geriatric patient care, understanding the specific needs of older adults.
Perform basic life support (BLS) as needed and ensure all emergency protocols are followed.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate inpatient care effectively.
Keep the medical office organized, clean, and compliant with health standards.

Qualification

Previous experience in a medical assistant role or relevant training in internal medicine or urgent care is preferred.
Strong understanding of patient care principles, especially in geriatrics and medication administration.
Basic life support certification is required; additional certifications in coding or related systems are a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and teamwork.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and coding purposes.
