POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager at Ascend32 is the architect and leader responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing Ascend32’s marketing engine. This leader will oversee strategy and support team execution of all marketing objectives at both a corporate consulting firm level and at five individual dental practice locations.
The role requires experience in high-growth marketing environments, proven ability to scale lead generation systems, optimize conversion pipelines, and drive measurable ROI across multiple business units simultaneously. This individual must be both strategic and operational -- capable of designing the vision while ensuring disciplined execution at the local level.
The successful candidate has previously built or significantly scaled a marketing system that directly tied to revenue growth, can confidently manage paid acquisition channels, and has demonstrated ownership of results rather than activity. They are data-driven, creative, decisive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment where clarity and accountability matter.

Ascend32 is dental consulting firm that leverages our founders’ experience scaling dental practices by more than 10x to coach owners that want to do the same. As a 2025 startup with an expanding client portfolio, Ascend32 is strategically focusing on the success of its five owned practices first and foremost to refine the systems it will continue to use to coach and support client practices as we scale.
Accordingly, this role has a clear pathway to Director of Marketing as Ascend32 expands into additional practices and consulting markets. Compensation growth and leadership scope will scale with demonstrated performance and ROI generation. We are not looking for a task manager; we are looking for a builder. Objectives
- Owning Full-Cycle Marketing Strategy - leveraging data to propose, execute, & optimize marketing strategies through every part of the Patient Engagement Cycle -- from flow to conversion to retention. Includes direction of:
- Brand positioning, website, SEO, paid ads, social media, email marketing, reputation management, referrals, & local marketing strategy as well as the analytics and content production required for each.
- Owning Marketing ROI - managing marketing-forward budgets across each entity to ensure a minimum of 3x-5x return.
- Leading a Marketing Team - providing strategy, training, and mentorship for social media assistants at each location to execute tasks at expected quantity and quality levels. Includes daily monitoring and reporting to ensure accountability and success.
- Generating Key Creative Assets - building assets for the marketing team to take action on, such as monthly social media calendars, content-capture assignments based on your creative ideas, seasonal campaign outlines, etc.
- Leading Vendor Relations - with a current emphasis on Google Ads, analyzing performance data to prepare for and lead all marketing vendor meetings to ensure execution and performance in alignment with a constant improvement strategy.
- Optimizing Online Reviews - monitoring & responding to all reviews (Google, Yelp) daily. Includes maintaining analytics on star rating changes and review count to ensure success of the Review Incentive Program and encouraging staff to ask for reviews.
- Driving Decisions with Data - eat/sleep/breathe data to fuel all strategic, budgetary, and creative decision making. Includes analyzing multiple external data sources, maintaining KPI trackers, and reporting to leadership weekly.
Competencies
- Strategic experience driving results in all stages of the patient or customer engagement cycle - not just flow
- Measurable history of generating ROI particularly from paid ad campaigns whether in-house or through vendor management
- Financial literacy and confidence in maintaining a marketing budget to ensure ROI
- Experience infusing creativity into strategic content to drive efficacy and engagement
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Leadership ability to align and develop team members to grow in and beyond their current roles
- Technical expertise in SEO, paid ad, and email campaign optimization
- Confidence in analyzing & reporting data as the driving force behind strategic recommendations
Education and Experience
- At least 5 years experience managing marketing in a corporate environment
