Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to manage and maintain financial accounts. The primary responsibilities for this role include processing daily sales receipts and invoices for accounts receivable, maintaining accounts payable, handling cash transactions, and performing reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail, as the position involves frequent interaction with both customers and vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel, as well as QuickBooks, is highly beneficial. Furthermore, we require an individual with strong interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication abilities to collaborate successfully with our team.

This position will require additional clerical tasks as they arise and will be an assistant to our accounting department(s).

Accounting Clerk Tasks:

Post daily financial transactions, such as customer payments and vendor bills, to the general ledger.

Process invoices, verify receipts, and issue payments.

Balance entries and make necessary corrections.

Sort documents and post debits/credits to proper accounts.

Verify amounts and codes on various forms for accuracy.

Organize filing systems, manage office correspondence, and handle confidential data.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Accuracy: Extreme attention to detail to prevent financial discrepancies.
Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Mathematical Skills: Strong, foundational understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Time Management: Ability to meet strict, recurring monthly or quarterly reporting deadlines.

Education and Experience

Education: High school diploma required; an associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in clerical, accounting, or bookkeeping roles is generally required.

Office-based, usually sitting for long periods.
High-volume data entry, requiring sustained concentratio

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
