Full Job Description

Officer Manager/Payroll Support/Accounting Support
Duties & Responsibilities

Process all aspects of payroll - prepare weekly/biweekly/monthly payrolls/quarterly payroll/on demand payrolls, enter new employees/ensure all new employee documentation is submitted, compile tip information for inclusion in payroll reporting, prepare direct deposits, schedule tax deposits, schedule federal and state unemployment deposits/payments, prepare quarterly payroll reports - Federal 941, State 941, Federal 940, State Unemployment, etc.., prepare W-2's and related annual payroll reporting, coordinate filing of W-4's with federal and state agencies
Calculate & prepare monthly/quarterly sales/use tax returns, schedule payments for same returns
Schedule/prepare payments/checks for clients estimated tax payments
Respond to workers compensation audits and I-9 information audits
Prepare Business/Occupational/Liquor licenses, new and renewals, for city, county, state
Log in client information as received into the office via work flow tracking system
Maintain inventories of forms for filing season, W-2's, 1099s, 1098s, etc....
Coordination of 1099 preparation for the office - annual letters to be sent out, tracking of client work and making sure all 1099's that need to be processed are processed
Process Individual, Corporate, & Partnership tax return client copies as well as scanning related documentation to be retained by the office, and returning client original documents, e-file tax returns, collect payments
Set up client portals for new clients/set up new clients across systems
Would like employee to have notary, firm will pay for completing notary process
Basic office duties - copy, file, stamp mail, scan documents and file electronically, stuff envelopes, answer phones, cover front desk, prepare documentation for clients
If time permits, and if a person would like to learn, assist with monthly bookkeeping services for clients - data entry, bank reconciliations, record payroll entries, record sales and use tax entries
Other duties as assigned

Skills & Education Requirements

Prior payroll processing experience, all aspects of payroll, new employee set up, processing, quarterly filings, etc...
Highly Organized, Punctual, Reliable, positive customer service attitude
Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
Prior tax preparation experience
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Previous office experience with financial information, payroll, and/or other areas and a desire to learn
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook
Preferred - QuickBooks experience
Preferred - Associates or higher degree in business or accounting field of study or
Preferred - Prior experience working in an Accounting or CPA firm or

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
