Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Culinary Director to lead our culinary operations with passion and precision. Duties

Lead the culinary team in creating nutritious, appealing menus tailored to diverse dietary needs, including assisted living and healthcare settings
Supervise kitchen staff, providing mentorship and training to ensure high standards of food preparation, safety, and sanitation
Develop and implement care plans that incorporate dietary requirements, patient assessments, and nutrition goals
Oversee budgeting for the dietary department, ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards
Conduct regular quality control checks, including food safety inspections and compliance with health regulations
Collaborate with healthcare professionals on diagnostic evaluations and physiologically appropriate meal planning
Manage inventory levels for ingredients and supplies, optimizing storage and minimizing waste while supporting dietary needs such as tube feeding or specialized diets

Requirements

Proven management experience within a dietary or culinary department, preferably in assisted living or healthcare environments
Strong knowledge of nutrition science, dietetics, physiology, and care plan development
Experience supervising kitchen staff with excellent leadership skills
Familiarity with patient assessment techniques related to nutritional needs and health coaching strategies
Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations related to dietary requirements and modify menus accordingly
Knowledge of budgeting principles relevant to food service operations
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and care providers
A passion for promoting healthy living through innovative culinary solutions
