Full Job Description

About the Role

As our receptionist, you will be the face and voice of McGill Law — responsible for creating a positive, welcoming first impression for our clients, partners, and staff. You'll play a vital role in the smooth day-to-day operation of our offices, managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, and providing administrative support across our Omaha and Lincoln locations.

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming Visitors: Greet clients and guests with warmth and professionalism, offer refreshments, and guide them to the appropriate meeting space.
Managing Calls: Answer and screen incoming calls promptly and courteously, direct calls or take accurate messages, and provide general information about McGill Law and its services.
Scheduling & Coordination: Manage calendars for meetings, conference rooms, and office events across all three offices; coordinate with attorneys and staff to keep communication seamless.
Client File Support: Prepare client files and intake paperwork, assist attorneys with documents for pickup or signature, and support the intake process for consultations.
Administrative Support: Handle mail and faxes, maintain office equipment (copiers, printers), and support day-to-day correspondence with courts, attorneys, and paralegals.
Office Management: Order and maintain office supplies, equipment, and refreshments for both the Omaha and Lincoln offices; coordinate with outside vendors (cleaning, security, maintenance) as needed.
Event Support: Help prepare spaces for firm events and assist with occasional errands (e.g., courthouse runs).

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role (legal office experience a plus, but not required)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities
A professional, friendly demeanor and genuine desire to help people
Proficiency with standard office software and multi-line phone systems
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Pay: $20–$22/hour, based on experience
