Accounting Clerk – Part time – Pensacola, FL

Job Description

ARCO Marine, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Accounting Clerk to support our finance department. This position is responsible for assisting with daily accounting functions, filing of all financial records, and ensuring timely processing of transactions. The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, and comfortable working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Schedule: Part-Time onsite (15-20 hours per week)

As the Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for the following:

· Process accounts payable invoices and verify PO accuracy.

· Apply customer payments and perform collection of past due accounts.

· Generate account statements and distribute.

· Review credit card statements and reconcile.

· Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

· Review employee expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance

· Prepare and maintain financial reports and spreadsheets.

· Research and resolve vendor and customer billing discrepancies

· Maintain organized electronic and paper accounting records.

· Assist with inventory and cost accounting records as needed.

· Respond to vendor and customer accounting inquiries professionally.

· Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy.

· Generate reports from the accounting system for management review.

· Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.

· Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.

· Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or office accounting experience preferred.

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Experience with ERP or accounting software (Acumatica experience is a plus).

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

· High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Pay

· $ 18-22 depending on qualifications.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
