Full Job Description

CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer/Sheet Metal Fabricator

Overview

United Machining Service LLC is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on machining experience.

The candidate must be able to set up, operate, and program CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts from drawings, models, and customer specifications.

Experience with Autodesk Fusion / Fusion Manufacturing is an advantage.

We also welcome experienced, retired, semi-retired, or soon-to-retire CNC operators and programmers from Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois or Midwest US who are interested in working in Orlando, Florida — The Sunshine State.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills and CNC lathes.
Program CNC machines using CAM software.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
Select tools, fixtures, feeds, speeds, and machining methods.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and other measuring tools.
Make offsets, tooling changes, and machine adjustments.
Deburr, finish, and inspect completed parts.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Support prototype, low-volume, and repeat production jobs.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
Strong experience with CNC milling and turning.
Ability to program, set up, and run jobs independently.
Knowledge of Fanuc or similar CNC controls.
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding.
Experience with precision measuring instruments.
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Autodesk Fusion is preferred.
Ability to work in a job-shop / prototype manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills

CAM programming experience.
Experience with aluminum, stainless steel, steel, brass, bronze, and plastics.
Fixture setup and tooling knowledge.
Experience with prototype and low-volume production.
Welding and/or sheet metal fabrication skills are a plus
