About Us

Roark Acres Honey Farms is a family-owned and operated business in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. You can find us around the state selling pure raw Oklahoma honey, flavored creamed honey, various infused honey, bee pollen, beeswax, beeswax candles, honey candy, handcrafted soap, lip balm, lotion bars & all sorts of skin care products. In the spring, we even sell bees.

At Roark Acres we try to utilize everything the bees have to offer. From the obvious; honey, we also use the wax, pollen, even the wood from our hives to recreate or reinvent displays or packaging.

Job Criteria

Roark Acres Honey Farms is looking for a Retail Sales Worker Bee to join our small team in a part-time, multi-location position. We need someone to work in our retail storefront as well as weekly Saturday Farmer's Markets & occasional full-weekend trade shows in and around the Tulsa and sometimes OKC area.

This individual needs to love working with the public & be very comfortable talking to strangers. Merchandising, and Event Support or Management would be a huge plus. Our ideal candidate has the above mentioned skills and is courteous, articulate, self-driven, trustworthy, reliable, & LOVES HONEY.

This ideal candidate can grow this position into full-time, leaning towards merchandising & event management.

Responsibilities

This position is a mix of responsibilities.

You will work part-time at our Jenks storefront at least 2 days a week. This will always include Monday.
Every Saturday morning, roughly 6 am-Noon, you will be responsible for transporting products and running the farmers market booth.
When applicable, you will work local trade shows (various times throughout the year [sometimes Fri-Sun event]).
This position works about 18-28+ hours a week. Pay is based on experience.

Qualifications

Must be 18 or older
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Customer Service; Must be able to talk to & communicate well with the public
Must be able to lift 50lbs or more on a regular basis
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to work outdoor events year-round
Must have reliable transportation - an SUV or truck is preferred (must be able to fit tables)
Must be quick on your feet
Must work well under pressure
Must be able to count back change & be good at math
Must not mind getting sweaty, dirty, or sticky
Must be flexible to work in various jobs & locations
Must be able to multi-task & work well independently
Merchandising experience is ideal
Event support or management can increase starting base pay
