Job Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist / Tool Maker, where you'll play a vital role in producing high-precision components using advanced CNC Swiss lathe machines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, including Fanuc controls, and to contribute to the creation of complex parts for various industries. Your expertise in machining, tooling, and blueprint interpretation will drive quality and efficiency in our manufacturing processes. Duties

Operate CNC Swiss lathe machines, ensuring accurate production of intricate parts according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
Program CNC machines using CNC programming languages and CAM software to optimize machining processes. (G/M code)
Read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to maintain tight tolerances.
Set up and adjust tooling, including cutting tools and fixtures, utilizing hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
Perform electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes when required to create complex geometries.
Conduct quality checks using precision instruments like dial indicators and micrometers; document measurements for process control.
Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to lean manufacturing principles; support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Proven experience operating CNC Swiss lathe machines with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAM programming, and blueprint reading with GD&T understanding.
Mechanical aptitude with experience in tooling setup.
Familiarity with G/M Code for programs and other design tools for interpreting technical drawings.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.
Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements.
Knowledge of manufacturing environments including plastics injection molding and lean manufacturing practices.
Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and other shop equipment safely.
Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
