Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with expertise in cooking, food preparation, and team leadership. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food production, maintaining safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties

Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and presentation standards.
Control inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies to minimize waste and ensure availability of ingredients.
Train, supervise, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for kitchen operations.
Handle cash management and POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) effectively.
Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to optimize kitchen profitability.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for kitchen personnel.

Qualifications

Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and fine dining or casual dining settings.
Knowledge of inventory control practices and cash handling procedures.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred.
Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team management and staff training & development.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
Background in hospitality management or restaurant management is highly desirable.
Understanding of budgeting principles related to food service operations.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene practices.
