Position Summary

LA Foods is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to maintain accurate accounting and inventory records. You’ll reconcile balances, process purchase orders, and ensure compliance with GAAP principles while supporting a smooth month-end close.

This position works closely with purchasing, logistics, and accounting to ensure our financial and inventory data stay precise and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly inventory balances.
Track, audit stock levels to ensure accuracy.
Process and verify purchase orders (POs) as needed.
Prepare and post journal entries related to COGS, adjustments, and shrink.
Support month-end and year-end close with accurate inventory valuations.
Manage vendor invoices and assist with AP/AR entries.
Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal control standards.
Data Entry

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
3–5 years of experience in accounting, cost accounting, or inventory control (food or wholesale experience a plus).
Strong understanding of GAAP, inventory reconciliation, and cost accounting principles.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliations).
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and accurate.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Confident self-starter
