Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Facilitator to lead therapeutic group sessions for diverse populations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counseling and therapy, with the ability to create a supportive environment that fosters healing and personal growth. This role is essential in providing guidance and support to individuals facing various challenges, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance use, and other co-occurring disorders. Facilitators with associates-level masters and/or substance use disorder certifications (CADC/SUDCC) are encouraged to apply.

Duties

Conduct group counseling sessions tailored to the needs of participants.
Utilize various therapeutic techniques including art therapy and behavioral therapy to engage participants effectively.
Facilitate discussions that encourage participation, sharing, and support among group members.
Maintain accurate records of sessions, participant progress, and any relevant observations.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for participants.
Stay informed about current best practices in therapy and counseling to enhance group effectiveness.

Skills

Proficiency in group counseling techniques.
Familiarity with ICD-9 coding for documentation purposes.
Experience in therapy modalities including behavioral therapy, CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices.
Knowledge of EMR systems, KIPU is a plus.
Knowledge of proper documentation to ensure compliance with managed-care systems (health insurance carriers, DHCS)
Ability to work effectively with group settings and maintain adherence to the topics presented.
Experience providing care for individuals with mental health and other co-occurring disorders.
Strong communication skills to facilitate discussions and build rapport with participants.
Compassionate approach with a commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all group members.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $100.00 - $150.00 per hour
