Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate tax compliance, supporting financial reporting, and assisting with complex tax planning projects. Your expertise will help us navigate the intricacies of tax regulations while maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in tax accounting, financial analysis, and client communication within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Duties

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Assist in the development of financial models to support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives
Conduct detailed analysis of financial data using spreadsheets and financial software to identify discrepancies and opportunities for optimization
Support audit processes by preparing documentation and collaborating with auditors to ensure regulatory compliance
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant standards
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to communicate complex tax issues clearly and effectively
Monitor changes in tax legislation and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance and implement necessary adjustments

Experience

Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably with a focus on tax accounting or related fields
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and modeling
Familiarity with financial software systems used for tax preparation and financial reporting
Knowledge of financial regulations including GAAP, industry standards, and relevant tax laws
Experience with mergers & acquisitions, financial modeling development, or auditing is highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently through effective project management skills
Excellent analysis skills combined with strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
