Full Job Description

Occupational Therapist, OT – Union Hospital Therapy, LLC – Terre Haute, IN

We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Occupational Therapist to join our team in an outpatient clinical setting. You will be providing therapeutic and holistic care for our patients. Monday - Friday Opportunity

What will you be doing in this role?

Providing one-on-one occupational therapy treatment for patients with injuries and conditions involving muscle, nerve, joint, and bone dysfunction, with a focus on restoring function, reducing pain, and preventing further impairment.
Performing comprehensive evaluations and developing individualized, evidence-based plans of care, including appropriate progression of interventions throughout the episode of care.
Maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining strong patient and physician satisfaction.
Collaborating with therapists, assistants, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
Achieving patient care time targets, with a general target of 75%+ minimum individual patient care time (unadjusted) in the outpatient setting.
Exhibiting positive attitudes and behaviors facilitating teamwork, efficiency, and care quality and promoting a favorable unit and company image.
Maintaining excellent individual compliance standards and completing documentation for evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, reference of discharges planning, capturing of patient care time, and performing other quality assurance activities as directed.
Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and learning, with opportunities to engage in continuing education and professional development to support ongoing clinical growth.
Delivering care as broadly specified within applicable state practice act.

Our ideal candidate would:

Have a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
Have the required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
Provide a CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or have the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
Possess advanced education, training, or certifications is a bonus (e.g., Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), neuro rehabilitation, sports medicine, etc.)
Have the ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
Have a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
Have strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
Be able to maintain confidentiality
