Who we are:

For Sophia is a social media brand being built for young women, focused on the conversations, experiences, questions, and everyday moments that shape their lives.

The idea began with a simple moment between a father and his daughter, when in a deep conversation where she was receiving some valuable life advice, she said, “I wish I could record this.” That became the inspiration for creating a place where useful conversations, perspectives, humor, advice, secrets, experiences, and life lessons could be captured and shared rather than disappearing.

We‘re a small startup including the founder and a development team from India and are currently building the brand, content team, creator network, systems, and processes from the ground up.

The Role

We are looking for a highly organized, resourceful Project & Talent Assistant to help manage the moving parts behind For Sophia.

This is not just a traditional administrative assistant position. You will work closely with the founder and help coordinate creators, applicants, freelancers, information, projects, and day-to-day operations.

We need someone who can be given a goal, understand what needs to happen next, and help move it forward without needing every individual step explained.

Responsibilities

You may help with:

Reviewing applicants, creators, editors, writers, and freelancers and helping identify the strongest candidates
Communicating with applicants and coordinating interviews, follow-ups, onboarding, and hiring
Communicating regularly with the young women creating content for the brand
Keeping track of assignments, deadlines, submissions, and outstanding tasks
Helping organize our content plans, creator guidelines, ideas, research, and internal documents
Working with ChatGPT and other AI tools to organize information, summarize conversations, create documents, maintain project knowledge, and improve workflows
Turning conversations, voice notes, ideas, and rough information from the founder into organized, usable materials
Maintaining applicant lists, creator databases, content trackers, calendars, and other backend systems
Coordinating with video editors, writers, designers, creators, and other freelancers
Following up with people so projects do not stall
Helping research tools, creators, trends, vendors, platforms, and potential hires
Assisting with onboarding new team members and making sure they understand the brand and their responsibilities
Organizing Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, ChatGPT, and other project resources
Identifying things that are disorganized, missing, delayed, or unclear and helping fix them
Handling miscellaneous administrative and project-management tasks as the company grows

Who We’re Looking For

You should be:

Extremely organized — you naturally create order out of a lot of moving information
A strong judge of people and talent — you can look at applications, portfolios, communication style, and work samples and recognize who is worth pursuing
A strong communicator — friendly, professional, clear, and comfortable following up with people
Comfortable with AI — especially ChatGPT, and interested in learning how to use AI to organize and operate a business more efficiently
Resourceful — when you don’t know how to do something, your instinct is to figure it out
Detail-oriented — you notice when something has been forgotten or doesn’t make sense
Proactive — you don’t wait to be told about every small task
Comfortable working in a startup environment where roles and priorities can evolve quickly
Good at managing multiple people and projects simultaneously
Reliable with follow-through — if you say something will get done, it gets done

Experience with social media, content creation, creator management, recruiting, project management, or startup operations is a major plus.

Experience with ChatGPT, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Canva, and social media platforms is also helpful.

What This Role Is Really About

We are looking for someone who can become the founder’s operational right hand.

There will be many ideas, conversations, creators, applicants, documents, content projects, and decisions happening at the same time. Your job is to help turn all of that activity into an organized system and make sure things actually move forward.

You don’t need to know everything on day one. You do need to be intelligent, organized, curious, comfortable learning new technology, good with people, and capable of taking ownership.
