Full Job Description

Job Type: Part-Time (Starting at approximately 16 hours per week)

Pay: Competitive hourly pay + commission, based on experience

Schedule: At least one week day evening and Saturdays required

Work Location: In person, with minimal virtual work

Licensure: Must hold a valid New York State Esthetics License.

About The Skin Reverie

The Skin Reverie is a luxury, results-driven day spa located in Sayville, NY. We combine the transformative, results-focused approach of a medical spa with the relaxing, elevated atmosphere of a resort spa.

Our clientele includes professional women, stay-at-home moms, and local clients from the surrounding Sayville area. At TSR, it is important that every team member maintains the perfect balance of professionalism, warmth, and relatability.

We are currently a small, two-person team and are excited to expand for the right person.

About the Role

We are looking for a part-time Esthetician who is confident, knowledgeable, and eager to learn. This role is best suited for someone who wants to grow with a small, supportive spa team rather than simply clock in and out.

The ideal candidate already has strong experience diagnosing and treating skin concerns, while also being open to continued education, mentorship, and professional growth. This role is best suited for someone who is passionate about skincare, client relationships, retail recommendations, and delivering a 5-star experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, results-driven facial services
Customize protocols and product recommendations based on each client’s individual needs
Deliver a luxury client experience while maintaining professionalism and relatability
Follow up with every client within 48 hours of their appointment
Maintain visual records for every client
Recommend and sell retail products based on client needs and current goals
Stay educated on all products and services offered at The Skin Reverie
Take photos and videos during appointments with client permission
Contribute to social media content and creative ideas
Perform services in a timely manner according to the schedule provided
Clean and reset treatment rooms between each client and at the end of each day
Restock treatment rooms and organize backbar/retail inventory as needed
Make treatment beds according to TSR standards
Follow client accommodation standards consistently
Participate in continuing education provided online, on-site, or through in-person events

Goals for This Role

The Esthetician hired for this position will be expected to contribute to the growth and success of The Skin Reverie by helping to:

Increase revenue from facial services within the first 6 months of employment
Meet retail sales goals through thoughtful, client-specific recommendations
Build strong client relationships through follow-up, consistency, and care
Contribute to client satisfaction and a goal of 10+ reviews per month
Support TSR’s reputation for luxury, results-driven skincare

Qualifications

2+ years of experience diagnosing and treating skin conditions
Strong knowledge of skincare, facial treatments, and retail product recommendations
Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality
Strong communication and listening skills
High standards for cleanliness, organization, and client care
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Passion for health, wellness, skincare, and continued learning
Comfortable contributing to social media content
Creative, flexible, focused, and team-oriented
Must be available to work evenings and Saturdays
