Job Overview

Must Have Facebook and or Reddit work experience. Verifiable Facebook or Reddit work history experience as a moderator is needed. One year preferably.

We are seeking a dynamic and vigilant Website Moderator to oversee online community interactions, ensure adherence to platform guidelines, and maintain a safe, respectful digital environment. This role involves monitoring user-generated content, managing reports of inappropriate behavior, and facilitating positive engagement across our website. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, technical proficiency in surveillance and security systems, and a keen eye for detail. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a secure and welcoming online space while developing valuable skills in moderation, conflict management, and digital security.

Responsibilities

Monitor live website activity using surveillance tools and content management systems to identify inappropriate or harmful content.
Review user reports and escalate issues promptly, ensuring swift resolution in line with community standards.
Enforce platform policies by removing or flagging content that violates guidelines and issuing warnings or bans when necessary.
Maintain detailed records of moderation actions, incident reports, and user interactions through clear report writing.
Communicate effectively with users via internal messaging systems or support channels to clarify rules or resolve conflicts.
Collaborate with internal teams such as customer service and technical support to address ongoing issues or system concerns.
Stay updated on evolving community standards, legal regulations, and best practices related to online moderation and security.

Skills

Strong understanding of law enforcement principles, security system monitoring, CCTV operation (AV), and surveillance techniques.
Experience with dispatching, CCTV surveillance, casino surveillance, or security system operation preferred.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to handle conflict management and internal communication effectively.
Technical proficiency in surveillance monitoring tools, CCTV systems, typing speed for report writing, and familiarity with call center operations.
Basic math skills for data analysis and incident documentation; ability to interpret security footage accurately.
Customer service experience combined with phone communication skills to engage professionally with users.
Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts calmly while enforcing community standards consistently.
