Job description

SeaCa Plastic Packaging, LLC located in Surprise, AZ is an innovative plastic packaging product company under the umbrella of Seattle-Tacoma Box Company headquartered in Kent, WA. Seattle-Tacoma Box Company has been under the same family management for 6 generations spanning nearly 135 years.
Currently, Seattle-Tacoma Box Company and subsidiaries support assembly and production operations and warehouses in Washington, Alaska, Oregon, California and Arizona. SeaCa Plastic Packaging, LLC is an industry pioneer in the production of plastic corrugated products used throughout the food industry.

SeaCa Plastic Packaging's Finishing Department is looking to add an experienced and dedicated Utility personel to our team at our Surprise, AZ location. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who excels working in a demanding and fast paced environment and demonstrates excellent prioritization, decision making and time management skills.

This is an assistant level position for work in a manufacturing environment. Training is provided to help you grow your career. You will be joining a crew of 3-9 people working as a team to accomplish the operating goals of the shift. Bonus pay can be earned as a member of the team that achieves their manufacturing goal. Forklift certification is a plus.

Schedule:

C Shift - Weds/Thurs - Sat 7am - 7pm

A Shift - Sun - Tues/Weds 7am - 7pm

S Shift - Mon - Fri 7pm - 5:30am

Responsibilities

Assist machine operators to ensure product movement.
Ensure each machine has product available to continue production.
Maintains forklift by reporting maintenance needed to maintenance supervisor.
Keeps forklift free of dust.
Report damaged product and/or shortages to supervisor.
Locate orders before start of run.
Dumps garbage dumpsters.
Assist other forklift operators as necessary.
Unload incoming vehicles; verify specifications ordered, counts and quality of incoming pallets.
Supplies sheet stock and pallets to machine centers to process orders.
Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Keeps area clean and organized.
Performs similar job duties as required.

Work experience requirements

Two or more years’ experience with forklift operation.
Experience with uneven/difficult forklift operation.
Able to work under pressure and meet time deadlines.

Education requirements

High school diploma or GED
Writing, mathematical skills, and a basic mechanical understanding
Valid State Driver License
