Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Bookkeeper and become a vital part of our financial operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help us streamline our financial processes, support budgeting efforts, and prepare detailed financial reports. We’re seeking a motivated professional with a passion for precision and a knack for working with various accounting software to contribute to our organization’s success.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry of journal entries, debits & credits, and account reconciliations.
Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting systems such as QuickBooks software and industry specific
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in bank statements and account balances.
Process payroll and handle accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other relevant documentation aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Conduct monthly closing procedures, including ledger review, journal entry posting, and financial statement preparation.
Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and assisting in financial planning efforts.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with familiarity in bookkeeping practices.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP and technical accounting concepts.
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks (especially QuickBooks Online).
Experience with payroll processing, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
Excellent skills in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and 10 key typing for efficient data management.
Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and produce accurate financial reports.
Understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles, journal entries, debits & credits, and financial concepts.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
