Full Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable part-time bookkeeper/accounting professional to join our team. The position is responsible for supporting the agencies accounting functions while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely completion of job duties. The successful candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and the ability to work independently in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger

· Process accounts payable

· Record deposits

· Reconcile the premium fund account

· Record and reconcile credit card transactions

· Review commission statements for accuracy and prepare payroll

· Submit payroll taxes and 401(K) contributions

· Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll reports

· Retirement plan compliance review

· Prepare annual workman’s comp audit

· Assist with onboarding new employees with benefits

Qualifications

· Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role

· Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, general ledger functions, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting

· Experience with payroll processing and tax filing requirements

· Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills

· Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
