Commercial Contractor Insurance Producer

Location: Hybrid (On site el dorado hills CA and remote)

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $80,000 base salary plus uncapped commissions. Top-performing producers have the opportunity to earn well into six figures through uncapped commissions.

About the Position

This is a full-time remote/hybrid position for a California Nevada-licensed Property & Casualty insurance professional. You'll work from your home office while helping contractors throughout the western United States secure commercial insurance coverage and surety bonds.

This role focuses on developing new commercial insurance accounts while expanding relationships with existing contractor clients. You'll work with business owners, subcontractors, and construction professionals to provide insurance solutions including:

Commercial General Liability
Workers' Compensation
Commercial Auto
Inland Marine
Builders Risk
Umbrella Liability
Contractor Package Policies
Contractor Surety Bonds

Responsibilities

Develop new commercial insurance accounts through surety bond cross sell opportunities with our existing book and new clients, referrals, networking, outbound prospecting, and agency-generated leads.
Build long-term relationships with contractors and construction businesses.
Prepare insurance proposals and present coverage recommendations.
Work with multiple A-rated insurance carriers to obtain competitive quotes.
Maintain an organized sales pipeline within the agency CRM. AMS 360/Agency Zoom CRM experience a plus.
Cross-sell additional commercial insurance products to existing bond clients.
Achieve monthly production goals while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Active California or Nevada Property & Casualty Insurance License in good standing (required)
3+ years of commercial Property & Casualty insurance sales experience required.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Self-motivated with a desire to grow a substantial book of business
Ability to work independently in a remote work environment
Experience with contractor insurance is a plus but not required
Must be eligible for appointment with insurance carriers and maintain a Nevada Property & Casualty Insurance License. Applicants may not have prior insurance license revocations or unresolved regulatory disciplinary actions.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, where permitted by law
Familiarity with contractor license bond and compliance processes is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred

Compensation & Benefits

$80,000 base salary plus uncapped commissions. Successful producers have the opportunity to earn six-figure+ total compensation.
