Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Wellness Director to lead our comprehensive wellness programs within an Assisted Living care environment. This pivotal role involves overseeing resident health and well-being, managing clinical staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Wellness Director will develop innovative care strategies, foster a positive community atmosphere, and promote holistic wellness for residents. This energetic leader will serve as the cornerstone of our commitment to enhancing quality of life through personalized care, clinical excellence, and team collaboration.

Duties

Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of wellness programs tailored to residents’ needs, including memory care, hospice, and home health services.
Supervise nursing staff and care teams, providing guidance on resident care plans, documentation review, and clinical best practices.
Ensure compliance with all long-term care regulations, Medicare requirements, HIPAA privacy standards, and state licensing laws.
Oversee medical records management using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized resident care plans that incorporate physiology and anatomy knowledge for optimal health outcomes.
Manage shift schedules, oversee patient care delivery during various shifts, and ensure smooth operational flow across departments.
Conduct regular audits of medical records, documentation review processes, and regulatory compliance to uphold high standards of quality assurance.
Foster a culture of leadership by managing care facility teams effectively, promoting professional development, supervising nursing management activities, and supporting staff in managing complex cases such as acute or long-term conditions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes with a strong background in long-term care regulations and Medicare guidelines.
Demonstrated expertise in nursing administration with supervising experience in home health or hospice care settings.
Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems, medical terminology, and documentation practices essential for maintaining accurate patient records.
Familiarity with memory care programs, patient safety protocols, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams within a healthcare environment.
Excellent understanding of physiology and anatomy as it relates to patient care across diverse populations.
Management experience in shift coordination, regulatory compliance audits, and clinical supervision is highly desirable.
