Full Job Description

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented team member to support the day-to-day operations of our newspaper office. This role helps keep everything running smoothly by assisting with ad scheduling, customer service, and general office tasks.

If you’re organized, comfortable working on a computer, and enjoy a role where no two days are the same, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do:

Enter and manage advertising orders
Review schedules to make sure ads run correctly and on time
Assist with obituaries, legal notices, and other submissions
Answer phones and help customers in person
Process payments and basic account requests
Support other team members and help keep daily workflow on track
Assist with paperwork such as affidavits and documentation
Learn multiple parts of the operation and step in where needed

What We’re Looking For:

Organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
Able to multitask and meet deadlines
Friendly and professional with customers and coworkers
Previous office experience is helpful

Work Environment:

Team-focused and supportive
Fast-paced at times, especially around deadlines
Variety of tasks throughout the day
