Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Resident Care/Med Tech, where your compassionate nature and hands-on skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide personalized care across all shifts—day, evening, and overnight—ensuring residents receive the highest quality support in a vibrant, caring environment. Your expertise in assisted living, memory care, and geriatrics will help foster independence and dignity for our residents every day.

Duties

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure resident health and safety
Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or cognitive disabilities, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques
Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities
Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining personal hygiene routines
Engage in effective communication with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery

Experience

Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care, and memory support strategies
Hands-on experience with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification required
Familiarity with home & community care settings or long-term care environments is advantageous
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is beneficial
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while supporting resident mobility needs
Strong interpersonal skills for effective client communication and group home or retirement home experience is a plus
