Full Job Description

Metal Fabricator (Roofing/Siding Residential Construction)

As a Sheet Metal Fabricator with our company, you will become part of a team of employees who are highly valued and skilled. We are a family owned and operated business dedicated to performing quality work and providing outstanding service to our customers. As a member of our team, you will plan, lay out, repair and install sheet metal products and parts. You will get to put your technical and mathematical skills to use operating tools and machines and taking measurements according to blueprints. This role will be great for anyone who wants to make the most of their abilities and grow with a family-oriented company committed to hard work;

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

· Fabricate various types of flashing for construction, including door and window pans, standing seam panels, roof metals as well as specialty flashings.

· Analyzing Information

· Basic Safety, Equipment Maintenance

· Power Tools

· Documentation Skills

· General Math Skills - Must be able to proficiently read a tape measure

· Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Detail Oriented

· Completes sheet metal projects by reviewing work orders, blue prints, gathering required materials

· Fabricates components by using equipment to cut, form, and fasten pieces.

· Documents actions by completing records such as Job Work Orders

· Maintains safe work environment by following procedures; complying with safety and quality.

· Maneuver completed sheet metal flashings into position for installation

· Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, using shears, drills and solder.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

· 5 years’ experience in fabrication and installation of flashings, and/or Metal Standing Seam Roof metals for new construction.

· Ability to take direction from foreman and management and apply proper installation techniques to work.

· Operate motorized drills and saws, forklifts, hand brake, metal slitter as well as various , sheet metal hand tools

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to read, write, and speak English

· Excellent work ethic and presenting positive image of our company

· Ability to accurately measure

· Possess all necessary tools

· Have a means of transportation daily to work

· Be able perform duties above more than 2 stories
