Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support the accounting department by managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. Your organizational skills and technical proficiency will help streamline office operations, contribute to efficient bookkeeping, and enhance overall office management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting expertise while supporting a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

Duties

Assist with data entry of financial transactions using accounting software such as Sage 50 (Peachtree) and maintain accurate records.
Manage invoicing, billing, and accounts payable/receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
Support bookkeeping activities, including bank reconciliations and expense tracking.
Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents, client records, and office supplies.
Provide exceptional customer service by responding to client inquiries via phone or email with clarity and professionalism.

Skills

Proficiency in Sage 50 (Peachtree), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong computer literacy with excellent typing speed and data entry accuracy.
Experience with spreadsheets, word processing, filing systems, and general clerical tasks.
Effective communication skills.
Organizational skills that enable multitasking across administrative duties.
Knowledge of office management practices including front desk operations, phone systems, and office supply coordination.
