Full Job Description

Sunshine Drip in Coupeville is looking for experienced Food Prep/Barista and Cashier Experience. We are needing to add to our already motivated and hard working team. We are needing part time /full time employees to be flexible and work the weekly schedule. We are looking for team members to have the flexibility to work several shifts.

Candidates must have excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic. We are looking for a self motivated, out going person who thrives in a fast paced environment.

One to two years experience in Food & Barista. Experience is a must for consideration. Must have experience in a cafe, restaurant setting. Helpful to have some Baking experience.

Competitive starting wage plus tips (averages another $10.00 to $15.00 an hour on top of your wage) and opportunities for raises.

Job duties to include:

· Prepare and serve food for consumption on the cafe premises or package them up for takeout orders.

· Responsible for taking customer orders.

· Clear used cutlery and plates when tables are vacated and to clean the tables thoroughly for the next arriving customers.

· Maintain repeatedly used general items such as coffee makers, ice makers and espresso machines. oven, grinders, blenders and other equipment.

· Operate POS system to take payments from customers.

Demonstrate excellent customer services and hospitality even under stressful times.
Interpersonal skills and able to interact with people.
Be effective working under pressure, meeting guidelines, and serving beverages in a timely manner.
Prepare menu items following our companies food concept according to specifications using approved ingredients and in accordance with health standards.
Serve customers on the food line and in the dining room.
Perform light baking and assist in preparation of ingredients to be stored for next day use.

Follow all health regulations for proper food handling and hygiene in preparation of food and in use of materials, utensils and equipment.
Communicate to manager inventory needs.
Clean and maintain equipment, materials and utensils according to equipment cleaning standards set.
Help customers select products that best fit their personal needs. As well as maintaining a visually appealing and effective displays for the entire store.
Educate customers on product and service offerings.
Balance the needs of multiple customers simultaneously in a fast-paced retail environment.
Offer exceptional customer service to differentiate and promote the company brand.
Prepare cold and hot plates combination by arranging ingredients very attractively.
Help in the preparation of salads and all other dishes.

taking customers' food and beverage orders
Ability to work in a high paced environment while delivering quality drinks and food items with a smile. Excellent customer service skills a must. Must have knowledge of basic baking skills or more.

Barista Job Responsibilities:

Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies.
Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
Sells coffees and coffee grinding and brewing equipment by explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines; demonstrating how brewing equipment operates.
Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, espresso cafe latte, and cappuccino.
Generates revenues by attracting new customers; defining new and expanded services and products.
Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks.
Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
