CNC Machinist II – Riverdale, IL

Pay: $28-$31

Hours: 1st 6am-230pm

As a CNC / Manual Lathe Operator II, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality precision components while maintaining our commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities include:

Set up, operate, and monitor manual and CNC lathes to machine precision components.
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts using proper fixtures and tooling.
Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and minor program edits as needed.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T specifications, and work instructions.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges.
Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot machining issues to maintain productivity and quality.
Perform routine machine maintenance checks and report equipment concerns.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Follow all safety procedures while keeping a clean and organized work area.

What You'll Need to Succeed

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus).
Minimum of 3 years of manual lathe machining experience required.
Experience operating CNC lathes; live tooling experience is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong understanding of precision measuring equipment, including analog and digital micrometers and calipers.
Experience performing machine setups, tooling changes, and quality inspections.
Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Overhead crane experience is preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods while operating machinery.
Manual dexterity to safely operate equipment and precision measuring instruments.
