Full Job Description

Geminus Corporation partners with community-based health care providers, social service organizations and early childhood education programs to help increase access to high-quality social health care for children and families across Northern Indiana. Geminus Corporation is a member of the Regional Care Group.

Position Purpose:

Under the direction of the Deputy Director, performs advanced level work developing, implementing and maintaining ongoing processes to measure and evaluate program performance as it relates to staff training and professional development. The Professional Development Manager is responsible for the oversight of the comprehensive training plan and all governing, accreditation, and licensing bodies for Geminus Head Start/Early Head Start, including: Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), the Office of Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, the CLASS tools, NAEYC standards, Indiana Paths to QUALITY™ state Quality Rating and Improvement System, and Indiana State Licensing Standards. Ultimately, the incumbent manages the design, effectiveness, and implementation of new staff onboarding and ongoing professional development to ensure quality performance and consistent compliance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards, as well as the Geminus Corporation’s mission and vision. The Professional Development Manager maintains frequent contact with early care and education providers, administrators, community agencies, agency staff, and the public in a number of capacities.

Scope of Authority/Responsibility

The Professional Development Manager ensures that all required trainings, technical assistance, and unique trainings required by HSPPS, Indiana State Licensing, and other accrediting agencies are addressed in the training calendar(s) and delivered as planned. The Professional Development Manager ensures that all training offered meets the minimum training/trainer standards set by the State and HSPPS and is delivered for all Geminus Head Start employees. This position is expected to make substantial contributions to the Geminus mission by providing program services that produce desired outcomes.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, Non-Profit Management, Business Administration or related field.

Minimum three years of experience in Head Start/Early Head Start or experience with children ages birth to 5, including experience in management, training, program development, and compliance systems. Must have the ability to work with multi-level agencies. Knowledge of and experience with governing, accreditation, and licensing bodies including: Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), the Office of Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, the CLASS tools, NAEYC standards, Indiana Paths to QUALITY™ state Quality Rating and Improvement System and Indiana State Licensing Standards. Experience in training adult learners is preferred.

Pay Range: $57,479.76 - $74,723.69
