We are looking for an experienced paralegal who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking an active role in managing client matters from beginning to end.
This is a substantive paralegal position with meaningful responsibility for case management, document drafting, client communication, and keeping matters moving forward. You will work closely with the attorneys while also having the independence to manage the day-to-day progress of assigned files.
Estate planning or probate experience is preferred but not required. Experienced paralegals from other practice areas with strong case-management, drafting, and client-communication skills are encouraged to apply.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESCase Management
- Manage assigned case files from opening through completion.
- Track deadlines and proactively move matters forward.
- Review files regularly to identify missing information, outstanding tasks, or issues requiring attorney attention.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files.
- Keep attorneys informed of significant developments and unresolved issues.
Drafting and Legal Support
- Draft estate planning documents, probate pleadings, guardianship documents, deeds, correspondence, and related legal documents.
- Prepare documents for court filing and assist with the filing process.
- Review drafted documents carefully for accuracy, completeness, formatting, grammar, and consistency before attorney review.
- Prepare final signing copies and assist with execution of documents.
- Support attorneys with estate planning, probate, trust administration, guardianship, and elder law matters.
Client Communication
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients by phone, email, and in person.
- Provide appropriate case updates and obtain information needed to move matters forward.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate document signings.
- Answer appropriate procedural questions.
- Maintain a high level of responsiveness and professionalism in all communications.
- Help ensure clients feel informed and supported throughout the legal process.
General Team Support
As part of a small office, all team members occasionally assist where needed. This may include:
- Scanning, uploading, and organizing incoming documents.
- Witnessing and coordinating document signings.
- Returning phone calls.
- Providing occasional backup reception coverage.
- Assisting with other legal or administrative tasks as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of two years of paralegal experience in a law firm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proofreading and document-review abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
- Professional and compassionate client-service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn legal software quickly.
- Experience with Clio, Asana, and Google Workspace is preferred but not required.
- Experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration, guardianship, or elder law is preferred but not required.
