Full Job Description

The Quality Controller - Telecom plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance before reaching customers. This position involves systematically inspecting, testing, and evaluating materials and finished products to identify defects or deviations from specifications. The Quality Controller collaborates closely with production teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. By maintaining detailed records and reports, the role supports regulatory compliance and internal quality assurance processes. Ultimately, the Quality Controller helps safeguard the company’s reputation by ensuring that all products consistently meet or exceed industry and company quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in quality management, engineering, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong understanding of quality control standards, methodologies, and tools such as statistical process control (SPC).
Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
Proficient in using inspection and testing equipment and software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in quality control or quality assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).
Knowledge of advanced quality management software and data analysis tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify quality standards.
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, and communicate findings to relevant departments.
Identify and report product defects or deviations, recommending corrective actions to production and engineering teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality control procedures and improvement plans.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards throughout the production process.
Participate in internal and external audits to verify adherence to quality management systems.
Maintain calibration and maintenance records for testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Skills:

The Quality Controller utilizes analytical skills daily to assess product quality and identify deviations from standards, ensuring that only compliant products proceed through the production line. Communication skills are essential for effectively reporting findings and collaborating with production and engineering teams to implement corrective measures. Attention to detail is critical when performing inspections and documenting results to maintain accurate quality records. Technical proficiency with inspection tools and quality management software enables efficient and precise testing processes. Additionally, problem-solving skills support continuous improvement efforts by identifying root causes of quality issues and recommending effective solutions.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
