POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist at our high-volume outpatient Medicare clinic that handles both in-person and remote visits plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care. The job description includes the following responsibilities:

Job Summary: The Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of the medical office. This role involves scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a smooth workflow to support the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
Answer phone calls promptly, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accurate documentation in the scheduling system.
Collect and verify patient information.
Maintain organized patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Process patient payments and manage membership inquiries.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence.
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
Respond to patient questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area.

Qualifications:

Two years of previous experience as a medical receptionist is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in Medicare billing
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

Work in a clinical setting, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
