PAY RANGE: $3,300.00 - $3,358.00 /Weekly

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical pharmacy experience, including hospital pharmacy operations, critical care, and specialized areas such as oncology, pediatrics, and emergency medicine. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe medication management, regulatory compliance, and optimal patient care. Your expertise will support multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality healthcare services within a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities

Dispense medications accurately while adhering to pharmaceutical regulations and hospital policies.
Provide comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies and monitor therapeutic outcomes.
Collaborate with medical staff to develop and adjust treatment plans based on pharmacological principles and patient needs.
Prepare and compound sterile and non-sterile medications, including IV infusions, ensuring aseptic techniques are strictly followed.
Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems to ensure accurate medication histories and interventions.
Educate patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions to promote safe medication practices.
Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by staying current with drug regulations, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards.
Precept pharmacy residents or students to foster professional development within the pharmacy team.
Participate in hospital committees related to medication safety, formulary management, or clinical practice guidelines.
Support emergency response efforts in the emergency room or trauma center by providing rapid medication assessments and interventions.

Requirements

Valid pharmacist license in the applicable jurisdiction with current registration status.
Demonstrated experience practicing as a pharmacist within a hospital setting, including hospital pharmacy operations.
Extensive clinical pharmacy experience across various specialties such as critical care, oncology, pediatrics, or emergency medicine.
Knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to acute care environments.
Proficiency with Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS) and EMR/EHR platforms for medication management and documentation.
Experience with IV compounding techniques, aseptic procedures, and sterile preparation standards.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards governing drug regulation and safety protocols.
Strong patient service orientation with excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and education.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations typical of Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers with acute pain management needs.
Prior post-residency or post-licensure experience in hospital medicine or managed care environments is preferred.
Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations including medication administration workflows and hospital information systems (HIS).
