Full Job Description

We are seeking a high-caliber, autonomous Senior Accountant to serve as the foundational financial anchor for our multi-entity service organization. In this role, you will operate as the sole financial professional within a lean, agile company environment. You will be responsible for everything from day-to-day multi-company general ledger management to high-level executive and external stakeholder communications.

This position requires a unique blend of technical accounting expertise and strong business acumen. You will regularly interface with lenders, investors, and the executive team to provide the financial clarity and strategic insights necessary to drive growth, secure capital, and scale multiple corporate entities.

This position is full-time working remotely from your home office and you must legally reside in one of the following states: CO, IL, NJ, NY, PA, TX, VA, or WA. No relo will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Standalone Financial Leadership: Act as the sole internal financial expert, managing full-cycle accounting, intercompany transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Executive & Stakeholder Relations: Partner directly with the executive team to guide strategic decision-making. Act as the primary financial liaison for external investors and lenders.
Capital & Debt Management: Oversee banking relationships and debt compliance; manage Small Business Administration (SBA) loans and alternative forms of borrowing from application through ongoing covenant reporting.
Contract & Revenue Operations: Review client contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), pricing models, and billing schedules to assure total alignment with company policies and profitability targets. Accrue monthly revenue, update revenue projections, and calculate monthly employee commissions.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly individual and consolidated financial statements.
Tax Coordination & Audit: Manage internal controls and collaborate with external CPA firms to facilitate the preparation of partnership taxes, K-1 schedules, and multi-state tax returns. Coordinate with a third party administrator to compile information needed for annual 401K testing and level funded plan required filings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a proven track record of operating independently as the sole financial professional in a small business environment.
Industry Background: Proven experience in a high-growth service industry (e.g., SaaS, digital media, professional services, or advertising).

Technical Requirements:

Mastery of cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, Zoho, Gravity Accounting).
Advanced Excel capability (pivot tables).
