Full Job Description

Telecon Inc., a leading provider of telecommunications network infrastructure services, is seeking an energetic, career-minded individual looking to take on the position of HFC/Fiber Network Designer.

This position will be a remote based role that can be done from most states in the US.

The HFC/Fiber Network Designer is responsible for the creation of hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) and fiber network design, with proficiency in Iris and related design tools. This role requires technical expertise, accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality network designs.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Develop and modify HFC and fiber network designs using Iris or Magellan.
Interpret and apply construction documents, engineering standards, and client specifications.
Prepare design packages, drawings, and supporting documentation for construction teams.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report on project data.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure constructability and compliance.
Review and verify design accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
Any and all other duties as assigned in order to meet Company objectives.

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

1-2 years proven experience with Iris or Magellan required.
Hands-on experience in HFC and fiber network design required.
Ability to work and train remotely.
Strong knowledge of construction drawings and documentation required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting required.
Previous telecom or utility design experience.
Familiarity with permitting processes and regional design standards.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
