Regional Sales Manager – Outside Field Sales | CA, OR, WA, NV, AZ (Expansion Territory) Arett Sales | Reno, NV or Sacramento, CA

About Arett Sales

Arett Sales is a leading wholesale distributor of lawn, garden, home, and holiday products. We partner with independent garden centers, nurseries, hardware stores, farm & feed, hydroponic shops, and regional chains — a diverse retail network that keeps this role dynamic year-round.

The Role

This is a ground-floor expansion territory — the Western U.S. is a growth market for Arett and we are looking for a candidate who can build it across California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Arizona. You will be opening new accounts, establishing brand presence, and developing relationships from the ground up across independent retailers in five states. This role rewards self-starters with existing industry relationships and the hustle to convert them. Ideal candidate is based in the Reno, NV or Sacramento, CA area for central territory access; other locations across the five-state region considered.

What You'll Do

Prospect and close net-new independent retail and regional chain accounts across CA, OR, WA, NV, and AZ
Build and grow relationships across garden, hardware, farm & feed, hydroponic, and specialty retail channels
Secure seasonal promotional displays and execute product launch programs
Submit weekly fill-in orders to maintain in-stock levels as the account base grows
Track and report competitor activity and market intelligence across a five-state region
Represent Arett at trade shows: Open House, Pottery Showcase, Summer Marketplace, Good Tidings Holiday Showroom

What You Bring

5+ years outside field sales experience — wholesale distributor or manufacturer rep required
Lawn & garden industry experience is required — direct channel knowledge is essential for success in this role
An existing book of business with independent retailer relationships across California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, or Arizona is strongly recommended — candidates with established contacts in garden, hardware, farm & feed, or related channels will have a significant advantage in building this territory quickly
2+ years wholesale distribution sales experience
Proven new business development track record — this is a hunter role first
Comfortable managing a large multi-state territory with regular travel across the Western U.S.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (3+ years)
Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current insurance required
