Full Job Description

Overview
Vibrant, successful established business is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting the overall financial health of our organization. Your expertise will help streamline bookkeeping processes, facilitate precise financial reporting, and contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting functions.

Duties

Record and process journal entries using QuickBooks Desktop
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting activities
Prepare financial reports, including statements and analysis aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements
Support budgeting efforts through account analysis and financial data review
Maintain detailed records of debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis for audit readiness

Requirements

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
Automotive experience a plus
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and GAAP standards
Demonstrated ability in balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll management
Familiarity with tax experience related to financial reporting and compliance
Excellent attention to detail with proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy
Ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, and financial report writing effectively
Strong grasp of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis
Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and supporting audit processes
