Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift (8-hour shifts)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
Additional Compensation: Free Room and Board (Live-in Housing Included)

About HealHub Behavioral Health

HealHub Behavioral Health is a community-focused, recovery-based clinic that provides comprehensive, trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions. We are committed to helping clients stabilize, recover, and reintegrate into the community through coordinated behavioral health, case management, peer support, and housing services.

We are currently seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Live-In Residential Housing Counselor (Peer Support) to reside on-site in our transitional housing facility and support program participants throughout their recovery journey. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about direct client care and peer engagement

Position Summary

As a Residential Housing Counselor, you will reside in the facility and oversee daily living operations while providing direct peer support services to clients enrolled in our outpatient behavioral health program. In addition to monitoring client behavior and supporting their housing transition, you will facilitate peer-led activities and transport clients to and from appointments and programming using a company vehicle.

This role combines elements of residential oversight, peer mentorship, recovery coaching, and logistical support to help individuals remain engaged in treatment, regain life skills, and build healthy routines.

Key Responsibilities

Residential Monitoring & Facility Oversight

Live on-site at the residential housing facility and maintain a visible presence during working hours to support and supervise residents.
Monitor daily activities within the residence and ensure adherence to house rules, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards.
Complete and maintain daily logs of client behavior, attendance, facility conditions, and any incidents or concerns.
Provide orientation to new residents, explaining house policies, expectations, and the structure of their recovery programming.

Peer Support & Client Engagement

Offer peer support services through recovery-focused conversation, modeling healthy behavior, and sharing personal experiences (as appropriate).
Build trusting, non-judgmental relationships to support client motivation and engagement in treatment.
Act as a mentor, encourager, and accountability partner in clients’ recovery and wellness goals.
Promote independent living skills, healthy routines, and responsibility through daily interaction and guidance.

Client Transportation & Activity Facilitation

Safely transport clients using a company-provided vehicle to and from clinical appointments, peer activities, support groups, grocery stores, and essential errands.
Organize and accompany clients to peer-related community activities (e.g., wellness groups, support circles, volunteer opportunities) to promote social integration and recovery.
Encourage participation in sober, skill-building, and community-based events to strengthen personal growth and reduce isolation.

Collaboration & Documentation

Maintain timely and accurate behavioral notes, transportation logs, incident reports, and resident updates in coordination with the clinical team.
Communicate client concerns and observations to therapists, case managers, and supervisors to support a holistic care plan.
Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing training as required.

Qualifications

Required: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Required: Willingness to obtain Washington State Peer Support Counselor Certification within 3 months of hire
Preferred: Peer Certification already obtained
At least 1 year of experience working in residential care or housing programs (live-in experience preferred)
Direct experience working with vulnerable populations including individuals with substance use, mental health challenges, or histories of homelessness
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain professional boundaries
Proficient in basic computer skills and comfortable with electronic recordkeeping and behavioral note-taking
Experience working with confidential information in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Work Environment & Housing

Live-in arrangement: Private living space and meals provided as part of compensation. Access to shared facility amenities included.
Company vehicle: Provided for all client-related transportation needs.
Supportive team culture: You’ll work alongside case managers, clinicians, peer specialists, and administrators in a team-oriented setting.
Ongoing support: Training, supervision, and peer support certification assistance will be available.
