Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC construction projects, ensuring profitability while maintaining quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects, utilizing your expertise in estimation, project management, and construction processes. The position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong negotiation skills and experience in construction site operations.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed HVAC construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms to secure favorable contracts.
Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include cost control measures, pricing strategies, and project timelines.
Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to accurately assess project scope and requirements.
Assist in the review of contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure alignment with project goals and budgets.
Coordinate with the construction management team to ensure estimates reflect current site conditions and project constraints.
Monitor industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain competitive edge in bidding processes.
Support project management teams during execution phases by providing cost analysis and forecasting.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction estimating within the HVAC or general construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction site operations, project management principles, and contract administration.
Proficiency in estimating software or similar tools.
Familiarity with cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budget management for large-scale projects.
Ability to interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Construction site experience is highly desirable to better understand on-the-ground project challenges. This position is integral to the successful delivery of our HVAC projects through precise estimation and strategic planning. We seek a motivated professional eager to contribute their expertise in a collaborative environment focused on excellence in construction delivery.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Physical Demands

Primarily works in an office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk using a computer.
Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching to access files or office equipment.
May need to visit construction sites, which can involve walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders, or standing for extended periods.
Requires visual acuity to review detailed drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
Occasional lifting of materials, files, or equipment up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

Typically works in an office environment with standard lighting, temperature control, and minimal noise levels.
May require travel to project sites, contractor offices, or client meetings.
When visiting job sites, exposure to construction-related hazards such as dust, noise, and varying weather conditions may occur.
May experience occasional high-pressure situations when meeting bid deadlines.

Pay range is $25-$33/hour DOE
