The Superior Court is seeking a skilled and motivated Information Technology Analyst I to support daily technology operations and assist with project delivery across the organization’s IT environment. This entry-level role is critical to maintaining reliable system performance, ensuring timely user support, and contributing to the successful execution of technology initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and applications

Monitor and maintain system performance, resolving routine issues promptly

Assist with system administration tasks, including user account management and access control

Support the deployment, testing, and documentation of IT projects and solutions

Troubleshoot technical problems and escalate complex issues as needed

Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions

Collaborate with IT staff and stakeholders to improve overall system efficiency

ABOUT THE POSITION
Under general supervision, performs a variety of professional and technical duties in the analysis, administration, enhancement, and support of Court information technology networks, systems, applications, and environments; participates in the design, installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software; supports the integration and enhancement of systems across platforms, technologies, departments, and end-users; monitors system performance to ensure performance and reliability standards are met; and performs related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives general supervision from assigned supervisory and management personnel. Exercises no direct supervision over staff.
CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
This is the entry-level classification in the Information Technology Analyst series. Initially, incumbents learn the operational aspects of the Court’s technology environment, its multiple systems and associated hardware and software, and the specific operations of the technology program area to which the position is assigned. Positions in the classification may be assigned to any division or section within Court Technology, including but not limited to Applications and Infrastructure. As experience is gained, assignments become more varied, complex, and difficult; close supervision and frequent review of work lessen as an incumbent demonstrates skill to perform the work independently. Positions at this level usually perform most of the duties required of the positions at the Information Technology Analyst II level but are not expected to function at the same skill level and usually exercise less independent discretion and judgment in matters related to work procedures and methods. Work is usually supervised while in progress and fits an established structure or pattern. Exceptions or changes in procedures are explained in detail as they arise.

Performs a variety of professional and technical duties in the analysis, testing, and operation, of Court infrastructure, systems, applications, and environments; performs system testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration.

Provides advanced technical support for the resolution of escalated user problems; analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and network issues with technology team or vendors; answers technical questions and provides guidance on system functionality and methods for correcting issues.

Monitors performance of enterprise networks, server platforms, applications, operating, and security systems; installs, configures, updates, and maintains networks and servers, hardware, applications, and devices, and ensures end-user reliability.

Installs, configures and upgrades software in accordance with established end-user profiles; provides configuration support for complex issues associated with devices and processes; checks overall software performance and compatibility with other software and operating systems, maintaining appropriate security protocols; modifies software parameters and settings.

Participates in the configuration of new environments, network migration projects, and network replacements/upgrades; assists in the staging, installation, and connectivity of new computer and network systems to ensure stable, scalable, and secure network operations.

Troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless systems, and physical media; deploys, develops, and provides ongoing support of backend network services and infrastructure tools to facilitate operations and enhance service delivery; ensures network and telecommunications infrastructure maintain optimal performance and security.

Researches and provides recommendations on software, hardware and network configurations and capabilities to meet customer needs; develops functional requirements for systems and software application enhancements including upgrades and new technology solutions; consults with vendors; performs analysis and presents proposals for software purchases.

Develops and maintains custom reports, screens, scripts, utility programs, menus and directories using standard software and development tools; develops, modifies and generates queries, reports and data runs; downloads and exports data to external interfaces or for reporting requirements.

Tests, implements, and maintains automated deployment processes for assigned applications and software upgrades, patches, and conversions; tests and evaluates software patches and upgrades; develops scripts and programs, tests, and documents deployment packages, sequences, and procedures; coordinates deployment into the production environment with users and other IT teams to ensure seamless change-over; creates and maintains application documentation including guides, support procedures, and end-user training documentation; tracks and resolves post-deployment issues and defects.

Participates on projects for internally developed projects or smaller projects developed with consultants, as assigned; assists in setting priorities, project tasks and time estimates with project team; coordinates and oversees the work of assigned team members and ensures completion of deliverables to meet time, cost, and requirement expectations; monitors and reports on project progress.

Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional associations.

Represents the department on Court-wide committees; provides guidance on technical operations and database-related issues; evaluates and executes information technology-related requests.

Observes and complies with all Court and mandated safety rules, regulations, and protocols.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; to operate a motor vehicle and visit various Court; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. This is primarily a sedentary office classification although standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. Positions in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information. Employees must possess the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 40 pounds.
